Nathan Blok
Nathan began his motorsport career in 2000, entering competitive go
kart racing at just 6 years old. By 2009, he had transitioned to
formula-style race cars, quickly establishing himself as a formidable
competitor.
In 2011, Nathan made history as the youngest driver to win the Canadian Formula Tour 1600 Championship. He also set a new track record at the Montreal Grand Prix, surpassing the previous best by 1.6 seconds. That same year, he became the youngest winner at the renowned Trois Rivieres Grand Prix, joining the ranks of racing legends like Gilles Villeneuve.
The following year, Nathan defended his title, winning the Canadian Formula Tour Championship again in 2012. He clinched victory in 10 out of 12 races, a feat never before accomplished, and became the youngest driver in Canadian history to secure consecutive championships.
Nathan's momentum continued in 2015 with a win in the Canadian F2000 Championship, where he broke the track record at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park during his debut at the circuit.
In the 2019 CTCC finale, Nathan drove for Team NewRoads/Speedstar, piloting a GT4 Audi R8. Despite having no prior experience in the car or practice sessions, he achieved a win and another podium finish.
After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nathan returned to competition in 2022, racing his Scion FRS in the Production Class of the Super Production Challenge Series (SPC), where he finished third in class.
With the establishment of Futec Motorsports in 2023, Nathan competed in the Super Production Class of the SPC. In 2024, he secured third place in the championship, highlighted by two commanding wins during the final weekend.
Beyond the racetrack, Nathan appeared on CBC's popular show "The Dragons' Den," captivating an audience of approximately 2.2 million viewers in Canada and successfully persuading the Chairman and Owner of Boston Pizza and Mr. Lube to support his program.
